About Us
Welcome to Roaring Stag Coffee Roasters — a speciality coffee roastery based in Ballater, Royal Deeside, surrounded by the rugged beauty of the Cairngorm Mountains. Since 2015, we've been dedicated to crafting outstanding coffee with purpose, integrity, and a deep love for the craft.
Roaring Stag was founded by Ruaridh, whose journey from serving 14 years in the British Army to roasting coffee is rooted in a desire for excellence and meaningful work. Swapping uniform for apron, Ruaridh brings the same discipline, precision, and passion into every batch he roasts.
What We Do
At Roaring Stag, we roast high-quality, ethically sourced coffee in small batches to ensure peak freshness and full flavour. Our range includes beautifully balanced blends and distinctive single origin roasts — each chosen and crafted to highlight the best characteristics of the bean.
We roast regularly to keep our coffee at its best, and we work closely with trusted importers who share our commitment to fair, sustainable sourcing. From farm to cup, quality and care are our guiding principles.
